We’re a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps physically disabled people enjoy the benefits of outdoor and green spaces. We offer a range of activities, from rambling and cycling to conservation and the arts.
Our fleet of mobility equipment includes wheelchair clip-on attachments, off-road wheelchairs and adapted (AKA non-standard) cycles, available for use during our weekly rambling and cycling sessions — peer-led by staff with lived experience of wheelchair use.

Want your own equipment? We can help. Try out different options on our no-obligation demos, with options for short and long-term hires. We also sell equipment from a range of suppliers and can advise on funding.

At Experience Community, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
Founded in 2011, we’ve been working to break down barriers and increase opportunities for people of all abilities to navigate their local communities and connect with nature.

Where do you want to go?

Can I buy an adaptive cycle or mountain trike online?

You’ll notice there are no “buy now” buttons on our website — that’s because most of the equipment we sell (or hire) is highly customisable. With a range of different control options available, different seating configurations and optional extras such as power assist, we find it’s best to start off with a quick phone or email consultation to establish exactly what you’re looking for. Contact our team for any sales and hire enquiries.

After contracting polio in 1958, I was unable to ride a bike as a child or teenager. In my 60s, I found EC and all that changed, with helpful, knowledgeable staff helping me choose the right cycle.
